Iffco Tokio General Insurance Company has bagged the Group Medishield Policy (GMP) of the IRDAI.
The existing GMP and Group Personal Accident Policy (GPAP) of the regulator for its employees expired on April 19. The decision to award the policy to Iffco Tokio was taken by the procurement committee of the authority held recently. The premium approved, including GST, was ₹1,26,26,000.
IRDAI had called for quotations from all general insurance companies and standalone health insurance companies on the basis of existing coverage and proposed coverage. Twelve insurers submitted quotations for GPAP, and 11 filed quotes for GMP.
