JP Morgan Asset Management India Pvt Ltd (JPMAMIPL) has announced the launch of the JP Morgan India Income Fund Series 301 & 501, three-year and five-year closed-ended income schemes, respectively. The new fund offer will be open for subscription during July 12-24, 2012. The fund’s performance will be benchmarked against the Crisil Short-Term Bond Fund Index for Series 301 and the Crisil Composite Bond Fund Index for Series 501.
A release from the fund house said the primary investment objective of the schemes would be “to generate income through investments in debt securities/ money market instruments and Government of India securities maturing on or before the maturity date of the schemes.”
