Liberty Videocon General Insurance Company has forayed into the Kerala market through a corporate agency alliance with Muthoottu Mini Group to sell general insurance products.
With the entry into the Kerala market, Liberty Videocon has firmed up its presence in the southern states where it already has a strong presence in Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. In Kerala, the company will sell a spectrum of retail (motor, personal accident, and health insurance) and commercial products through its distributor network.
The company will focus on marketing commercial and retail insurance products across the State and is aiming to build a strong relationship with leading brokers, agents, industries, and other partners, Roopam Asthana, CEO and whole-time Director, Liberty Videocon General Insurance Ltd, said.
According to Milan Naik, Country Head of Marketing & Institutional Business, the company has operations in major states and in Tier-I and Tier-II cities. In the last fiscal, the Gross Written Premium (GWP) stood at ₹294 crore.
