The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has roped in large online merchants including IRCTC, Life Insurance Corporation, Flipkart, Snapdeal, bookmyshow and Homeshop18 for acceptingRuPay cards.
RuPay is the card payment scheme launched by NPCI. RuPay acceptance has grown to over 15,000 online merchants, NPCI said.
Currently, there are 30 million RuPay cards which are acceptable at all ATMs and 9.8 lakh points of sale in the country.
