Punjab National Bank, as part of 177th year of existence in the banking industry, has opened a branch at Kalamassery, which is part of the 177 new branches opened online by the Chairman and Managing Director across the country.

In Kerala, the Bank has opened 5 new ATMs at Vadakkevila (Kollam), Oachira (Kollam), Pala (Kottayam), Hill Palace and Kalamassery (Ernakulam).

Mr K.V. Rajesh, Circle Head of the Bank, said that the Ernakulam Circle has conducted two medical camps as part of the celebrations. The first medical camp was conducted at the Old Age Home and the second one at Government Home for Mentally & Physically Handicapped Women.

Earlier, the Bank had set up a computer lab at Sri Poornathrayeesa Balashramam, a reputed orphanage at Tripunithura. The Bank had organised a blood donation camp at the Circle Office. The Bank has also identified an orphanage of boys within the age group of 10-23 years at Sai Niketan, Ernakulam, by providing new pair of shoes, examination guides to the school children and set up a study area for the students.

The Bank also adopted the Chennam (Pallipuram) village in Allappuzha district and is providing the basic amenities to the society in co-ordination with the Panchayath authorities.
