The Kolkata main branch office of State Bank of India at Strand Road has undergone a structural change in order to provide upgraded service to various groups of its customers.
The main branch has been segregated into three branches namely High Court branch, Specialised Institutional Banking branch and Kolkata branch, according to a bank statement.
While the High Court branch would meet the needs of customers of personal banking division including NRI, the specialised institutional banking branch and the Kolkata branch would deal with business for institutional customers and government business and other related services, respectively.
Mr Suriender Kumar, Chief General Manager, Bengal Circle, on Tuesday inaugurated the High Court branch, the first of the proposed three branches following the restructuring exercise.
