Srei Infrastructure Finance posted a near 23 per cent drop in net profit to ₹91 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2018, against ₹119 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
Total consolidated income stood at ₹1,611 crore (₹1,538 crore).
The consolidated disbursements dropped by nearly 34 per cent to ₹3,800 crore (₹5,731 crore). Consolidated assets under management (AUM) stood at ₹49,913 crore (₹44,865 crore).
According to Hemant Kanoria, CMD, Srei, the company had intentionally slowed down disbursements during the third quarter in view of the environment and focussed on maintaining a comfortable liquidity position.
“Our ability to manage risks efficiently has led to healthy asset quality. Our liquidity position is comfortable with a focus on steady growth on our return on equity and profitability,” he said in a press statement.
