Tuticorin-based Tamilnad Mercantile Bank (TMB) opened its 231st branch as Specialized Micro Finance Branch at Dharavi, Mumbai, on Thursday.
According to a bank press release, Prof Mrs Varshati Eknath Gaikwad, Minister for Women and Child Development, Maharashtra State Government declared open the new branch. Presiding over the function, Mr A.K. Jagannathan, Managing Director and CEO of the bank, said that the branch has been opened to support the financial assistance of small enterprises and weaker section. The total business of the bank will cross Rs 25,000 crore in the current year itself, he added.
