Last week, the Indian Government had intiated the Vande Bharat mission to bring back stranded Indians from different parts of the world in the wake of the coronavirus crisis.

India is conducting flights to the UAE, US, UK, Saudi Arabia, Singapore and Qatar to repatriate Indian nationals between May seventh and May thirteenth.

India is also sending flights to Malaysia, Bangladesh, Kuwait, Philippines,Oman and Bahrain.

The Indian Navy are also playing an active role in repatriating Indians from different parts of the world

INS Jalashwa and INS Magar were dispatched to repatriate Indian citizens stranded in the Maldives under Operation “Samudra Setu” while INS Shardul and INS Airavat were dispatched to the UAE.
