A recent move by the US to disallow students holding non-immigrant F1 visas and M1 visas to remain in the US if they are taking a full online course load in the Fall semester will impact thousands of students in the nation. A press release by the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement, or ICE, said, "Students currently enrolled in such programmes must depart the country or take other measures, such as transferring to a school with in-person instruction to remain in lawful status".
BusinessLine spoke to Hemanth Bharata Chakravarthy, a student in the US about how this move will affects him. Thank you Hemanth for talking to us today.
