The Shiromani Akalil Dal (SAD) has left the ruling NDA, buoyed by the farmers’ protests against the three farm Bills, which the Parliament passed in the recently concluded Monsoon Session.

With the SAD's exit, the BJP has lost another ally following the TDP and the Shiv Sena in recent years.
