Nearly 50 per cent of the students in India, including those in urban areas, do not have access to the internet for online education, a survey by Learning Spiral revealed.
According to the survey, 27% of the Indian households have access to the internet while only 47% of the households have any access to the internet or a computing device, including a smartphone.
It further stated that 85 per cent of the children in urban households who study in universities have access to the internet, but only 41 per cent of them are likely to have access at home.
