Every year, on May 31, the World Health Organization (WHO) and its global partners observe World No Tobacco Day (WNTD). The annual campaign is an opportunity to raise awareness on the harmful effects of tobacco and second-hand smoke exposure, as well as discourage the use of tobacco in any form.
