Water scarcity and drought are set to wreak damage that rivals the Covid-19 pandemic with risks growing rapidly as global temperatures rise, according to the United Nations.
A study says that within the next 80 years, 129 countries will experience an increase in drought because of climate change. Another 23 countries will confront water shortages because of population growth, and 38 will experience drought due to climate change and population growth.
