Three workers at Jindal Steel Works factory at Torangal, about 28 km from here, died on the spot when hot iron ore residue from a huge overhead iron bucket fell on them, police said.
The iron ore residue fell on them after the wire holding the bucket snapped, they said.
One of those killed was from Orissa and the other two from Koppal and Bellary districts in Karnataka, they said.
