Oil marketing companies announced a cut in prices of bulk diesel, sold to industrial consumers like Railways, to be effective from midnight.
In Delhi, price of diesel has been cut by Rs 1.09 a litre and the revised price will be Rs 59.32 a litre. Price in Chennai has been cut by Rs 1.18 a litre for a revised price of Rs 63.53 a litre, in Mumbai the cut is Rs 1.20 a litre while in Kolkata the cut is Rs 1.14 a litre.
There has been no change in the retail price of the fuel.
The price cut has been announced by oil marketing companies in line with global crude oil price trends.
