The Palakkad division of Southern Railway launched Community Assisted Rail Development programme at Mangalore Central railway station on Thursday. A press statement said here that stakeholders such as railway catering contract staff, cleaning staff, staff of various departments of Railways, and representatives of Corporation Bank and Udupi Power Corporation Ltd participated in the programme. Mohan Menon, Additional Divisional Railway Manager, and Dakshina Kannada MP Nalin Kumar Kateel spoke.
