Sanskriti Express, a mobile exhibition train showcasing the life and works of Rabindranath Tagore, will visit Bangalore and Hubli.

According to a South Western Railway release, the Sanskriti Express is to be stationed at Bangalore Cantonment from December 2 to 5 for public viewing. Later the train is to visit Hubli for two days on December 6 and 7 before its travel to Lokmanya Tilak Terminus, Central Railway in Maharashtra.

The train is a tribute to Rabindranath Tagore from the Indian Railways on the occasion of his 152nd birth anniversary. Sanskriti Express is to display rare pictures of Raindranath Tagore which includes Tagore’s photos.

The special train completed its first countrywide tour in 2010 and now it is on the second phase of journey from Shantiniketan on August 7. The train is expected to make its journey through the country for about 150 days and conclude it on January 7.
