Yashoda Group of Hospitals has launched an initiative called ‘Fight On’ to give support cancer patients at the group’s Secunderabad facility.
Inaugurated by film actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Fight On would provide a platform for doctors, patients and the kin of patients to share information on healing, stimulate inner resources and improve quality of life.
“It will provide comprehensive information on rehabilitation and coping strategies on different types of cancers with different stages. It will help build partnerships increase awareness and involvement of partners from different disciplines and sectors,” G.S. Rao, Managing Director of the group, said.
Positive outlook and behaviour changes can slow the growth of cancer cells and boost the chances for survival, he said.
