The Bank Employees’ Federation of India has asked its members to protest the RBI’s decision to allow two private financial institutions to open banks. BEFI Kerala General-Secretary CJ Nandakumar, said the RBI’s decision “in the midst of a general election and after taking the Election Commission’s special permission,” was “inappropriate and condemnable”.
