Our Bureau The 11th edition of the Tour of Nilgiris (TfN), the annual flagship event of RideACycle Foundation (RAC-F) is scheduled between December 9 and 16.
The event has attracted 110 cyclists from across the globe including 29 international riders (23 men and 6 women) and 17 women riders.
Eight-day cycling tour
The eight-day cycling tour will start from Mysuru. Cyclists would pedal through Hassan, Kushalnagar, Sultan Bathery, Udhagamandalam and Kalpetta before returning to Mysuru, covering a distance of around 950 km around Nilgiris Biosphere Reserve across the western ghats through Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
Deepak Majipatil, co-founder, RAC-F said the number of international participants and women cyclists has been on the rise in this expedition.

“There are 7 cyclists from Denmark, 4 from the US and 3 each from Australia, Germany and the UK, 2 each from Belgium and Canada and one each from Austria, Greece, Malaysia, Philippines and Poland”.
