Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) will partner with State Bank of Travancore (SBT) to host a conference of ‘IT for SME – Success and growth.’
To be held here on Tuesday, this is being considered as the first of a series of precursor events ahead of the ‘Emerging Kerala 2012 Global Connect’ event.
‘EMERGING KERALA’
The state government is partnership with the CII for this event as well, which is scheduled for September.
MSME (micro, small and medium enterprises) has been identified as one of the key sectors to be focused on during Emerging Kerala 2012.
Kerala is slowly but surely transforming into a hub for the MSME sector, a spokesman for CII-Kerala said here.
According to him, the primary objective of the conference on ‘IT for SME’ conference is to create and enhance awareness of IT products and solutions for SME business houses as well as connect the main stakeholders.
These include vendors of IT for SME businesses and software technology partners in the ecosystem and IT infrastructure vendors in the industry.
UNIQUE PLATFORM
The conference will provide a unique platform to discuss multiple dimensions related to adopting IT solutions to accelerate business benefits and achieving higher growth. Distinguished speakers from the industry will address the conference.
Mr P.K. Kunhalikkutty, Minister for Industries and IT, will be the chief guest at the conference.
Other key speakers include Mr P. H. Kurien, Principal Secretary, IT; Mr P. Nanda Kumaran, managing director, SBT; Mr V. K. Mathews, chairman, CII Kerala state council, Mr Chetan Krishnaswamy, director, Dell India; Mr S. Jyothi Sankar, general manager, BSNL, Kerala; Mr Sridhar Reddy, chairman and managing director, CtrlS Datacenters; Mr V. S. Sundara Raman, vice-president, Ramco Systems; Mr Amol Deshpande, director, SAP India; and Mr G. Vijaya Raghavan, member, Kerala State Planning Board.
