Constantia Parikh, an Indian arm of European packaging major Constantia Flexibles GmbH, has announced plans to set up a greenfield project in flexible packaging with an investment of ₹100 crore.
The new unit will be set up at a cost of around ₹100 crore to produce high barrier laminates that can be fully recycled and meet the requirements of upcoming legislation on food and home and personal care packaging sector.
The plant will house the latest machinery to manufacture sustainable packaging. The project is aimed at supporting Swachh Bharat Mission, a statement informed here.
The new unit, expected to come on stream in 2019, will be equipped to comply with the upcoming Plastic Waste Management Regulations and meet the highest international environmental, hygiene and work safety standards.
