With the detection of 553 new coronavirus positive cases, the overall number in Andhra Pradesh has gone up to 10,884.
According to a bulletin released by the Department of Health, Government of Andhra Pradesh, 19,085 samples had been tested. Out of this 553 have shown positive results. While 477 cases were from the State, 69 were from other States, and seven were from those who returned from abroad.
With the death of seven patents since Wednesday, the death toll reached 136 as on date. Kurnool has the highest number of cases at 1,555 followed by Krishna and Anantapur with 1,179 and 1,080 cases respectively.
The number of recoveries, however, has been a relief. With the discharge of 118 patients, so far 4,989 Covid-19 patients have recovered in the State and 5,760 are being treated at various hospitals.
