The Malcolm & Adiseshiah Trust’s national award for outstanding social scientists, with a prize money of ₹2 lakh and a citation, will be conferred upon noted economics professor Deepak Nayyar, a press release from the trust said.
The trust also instituted social scientist award for below 45 age category from this year with a prize money of ₹1 lakh. Richa Kumar from Department of Humanities, IIT Delhi was declared as winner under this category. The awards will be presented in a special function to be held in Chennai.
