Cultivate positive thinking and create passion, said Mahendra Lal Kumawat, Retired IPS Officer and Vice-Chancellor of Sardar Patel University of Police Security and Criminal Justice. He was speaking on ‘Whither India? – The role of youth in nation making”, at the Footwear Design and Development Institute in Jodhpur.
The campus interface with the corporate world was organised by Business Line in association with Cairn India, the fastest growing energy company in the world.
Kumawat deliberated on the role of youth in nation building .
He told students that India has a long way to go, and has to deal with issues such as corruption and terrorism.
“We have to cultivate positive thinking and create passion,” he said. We have to create employment, good health, better universities, he added. “We have to emphasise on the girl child, her health and education; only then can India become one of the best in this world.”
