As part of its campus initiative with Cairn India, The Hindu Business Line held a workshop on successful and efficient management practices here on Tuesday.

Cairn India, one of the fastest growing energy corporations of the world, has joined hands with the newspaper for this new initiative called Business Line Club.

The workshop was held at IIIM, Mansarovar, Jaipur, where Ramesh K. Arora, Honorary Chairperson of the Management Development Academy, Jaipur, addressed students.

During the lecture and subsequent interactive session, Arora shared valuable insights on successful and efficient management practices with the students.

“The winning spirit is often more important than winning itself,” said Arora.

“For instance, the great Rajput warrior king Maharana Pratap and Rani Lakshmibai of Jhansi did not manage to win their respective endeavours but they are still remembered for their undying winning spirit,” he said.

Arora shared with students specific traits of highly successful and accomplished personalities such as Microsoft founder Bill Gates, former Indian president A.P.J. Abdul Kalam and businessman Anil Ambani, among others.

Ashok Gupta and Manju Nair, Director and Principal respectively of IIIM, Jaipur were also present on the occasion.

The second campus interface of BL Club will be held at Amity University, Jaipur on Wednesday.

The initiative seeks to provide students with a campus interface between industry and academia allowing the two entities to work with each other to evolve current practices in the industry.

Cairn India is the principal sponsor for BL Club activities.
