Asian School of Business, the Confederation of Indian Industry, and the US Consulate-General, Chennai, will jointly organise a presentation on ‘Global energy outlook: What lies ahead?’ here at the Asian School campus on Tuesday.
Gawdat G. Bahgat, professor of national security affairs, National Defence University, Washington DC, will make the presentation.
He will speak about energy security; impact of shale gas/oil and renewable energy; and India’s oil/gas and coal production and demand.Energy is a key area of specialisation for Cairo-born Bahgat who has a long list of books and monographs to his credit.
The presentation will be followed by an interactive discussion.
George M. Thomas, patron, and S. Rajeev, director, Asian School; industry participants and senior representatives from the US Consulate and CII will be present on the occasion.
