The Manipal-based T.A. Pai Management Institute (TAPMI) will host an International Conference on Accounting and Finance (ICAF) from March 10-12. A press release by the institute said here on Saturday that the theme of the conference is ‘Strategic accounting for control and governance'. Mr Dhanendra Kumar, Chairman of Competition Commission of India, will inaugurate the conference on March 10.
The conference includes technical sessions in the areas of ‘Management Control', ‘Forensic Accounting and Fraud Management', ‘IFRS' and ‘Corporate Disclosures'. The conference is being actively supported by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC India) and Chartered Institute of Management Accountants , the release said. ICAF seeks to provide a platform to practitioners as well as researchers for a healthy debate on the interface between accounting and governance practices, the release added.
