The Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT-S) has commenced academic session at it campus in Sri City, Chittoor.
According to a release from the Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India, the second year classes for the very first batch of students, who obtained admission in IIIT-S last year, had started on Monday.
The first year classes for the same students were conducted at IIIT-H, Hyderabad campus last year to cope up with academic schedule. Now the entire batch has been moved to Sri City campus as it began functioning.
The institute is being run in from the Institute for Financial Management Research campus. The upcoming 70-acre campus of the IIIT-S would be ready by next year.
