The CBSE today declared the results of the All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Test (AIPMT), which was re-conducted on July 25 after allegations of large-scale irregularities in the first test.
Vipul from Haryana’s Jind district topped the exam while Khushi Tiwari from Rajasthan came second. Both the toppers are from the unreserved category, according to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) which conducted the exam.
The examination was conducted at 1,065 centres in 50 cities across the country and abroad and out of the 6,32,625 candidates registered for this examination, 4,22,859 candidates downloaded the admit card.
The decision to re-conduct the examination came after the Supreme Court’s direction to CBSE following allegations of large-scale irregularities in the examination held on May 3.
A dress code was prescribed for the test and all the candidates were frisked prior to the examination. More than one lakh officials had ensured the successful and fair conduct of examination, CBSE had said.
