The Government has launched a national web portal to promote a national apprenticeship scheme for graduates, diploma holders, 10+2 pass-outs, and vocational certificate holders.

The multilingual portal ensures seamless connectivity with all stakeholders including students, establishments, and technical institutions across the country for transparent administration, a statement from the Ministry of Human Resource Development said.

Union HRD Minister Smriti Irani on Thursday also released a logo and a slogan ‘Sashakt Yuva, Samarth Bharat’ for the portal, a statement from the Ministry said.

The Ministry implements the apprenticeship training scheme for one year through the Board of Apprenticeship Training (BOATs)/ Board of Practical Training (BOPT) located at Mumbai, Chennai, Kanpur and Kolkata.

This portal enables door-step delivery of service, streamlines processes, and saves time for students, Irani said.

She added that the portal through the mechanism of an internal complaints committee would offer security for women at the workplace and ensure grievance redressal for the apprentice.
