Professional education firm Imarticus Learning has partnered with KPMG India for a Data Science Prodegree Course.

The course has been designed to enable students apply Data Science to business contexts and make them job ready.

As per the agreement KPMG (the knowledge partner for the Prodgree course) would provide business case studies and capstone projects to support the curriculum apart from extending their Data Science specialists to mentor the students.

Arihant Garg, Partner, KPMG India “there is huge amount of data available today. Be it banks, financial services, manufacturing units, e-commerce or healthcare – every sector is looking for useful insights from the data gathered over the years. All such organizations are either building data science teams or on-boarding data science consultants to solve their business problems or exploit new opportunities.”

Nikhil Barshikar, Founder, Imarticus Learning observed that the biggest shortcoming faced by present day job aspirants is “getting first-hand experience. This programme would provide just that. While mentors would help students understand the challenges of Data Science projects in real world, the test (for the students) would be in finding the right solution at the right time with limited data resources.”

With Data Science transitioning rapidly from a buzzword to a widely-adopted technique across industry verticals, a strong foundation in the subject seems essential for candidates aspiring to become professionals in this space.

Studies show that the analytics industry grew to $3.03 worldwide in 2019, and projected to double by 2025.
