The Indian School of Business (ISB) has tied up with IT enterprise software major SAP to support social entrepreneurs. SAP will mentor and provide technology support to the start-ups and help them scale up their operations.
The four-month programme will begin in October. The ISB will call for applications this month from prospective start-ups. About five start-ups will be selected for the maiden cohort, said ISB Dean Rajendra Srivastava.
Addressing a press conference here on Thursday after signing the agreement with SAP, Srivastava said many start-ups in the social innovation space found it difficult to scale up because of several constraints. “We would like to help them in this with SAP’s help,” he said.
“We would like to make it a continuous programme, inducting batches of start-ups that attempt to address issues in the social sector,” said Dilipkumar Khandelwal, Managing Director, SAP Labs India.
The Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the ISB, and experts from SAP and the start-up ecosystem will take part in the programme.
