The Indian School of Business (ISB) on Friday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Singapore Management University (SMU) for collaboration in innovation, entrepreneurship and research.

In addition, both the institutions will also exchange faculty and students and might also explore the possibility of offering joint programmes down the line, Rajendra Srivastava, Dean, ISB, told newspersons after signing the MoU with Arnoud De Meyer, President, SMU, here on Friday.

Both ISB and SMU will contribute to ideas on business modelling, commercialisation of technologies and preparing companies for international markets, Meyer said, adding that the big challenge for start-ups was to scale up.

The start-up ecosystems in technology, healthcare, pharma and public policy, among others, will also be looked into. On the research front, both will consider opportunities for faculty, post-doctoral and doctoral students and organise international conferences.

SMU has been hosting an annual Singapore–India business dialogue. ``This year it will be hosted by SMU while ISB will support it. Next year, ISB will host it here,’’ the ISB Dean added.

The collaboration is for an initial period of five years beginning from today.
