The National Academy of Agricultural Research Management (NAARM) has been awarded a World Bank-funded National Agricultural Higher Education Project (NAHEP) project.

The project, which is referred to as component 2A, calls for investments in Indian Council of Agricultural Research Leadership in Agricultural Higher Education.

With a budget outlay of ₹69.41 crore, the three-year project is aimed at establishing partnerships with globally recognised agricultural higher education institutions. It is also for establishing career development centres at agriculture universities.

Besides NAARM, Indian Agricultural Statistical Research Institute (IASRI) and National Institute of Agricultural Economics and Policy Research of Indian Council of Agricultural Research will take part in the implementation of the project.

The three-year project will help agriculture universities in strengthening their linkages with industry and enter into a dialogue with State governments to catalyse their participation in raising the quality and relevance of higher education in agriculture.
