Lottery operators in Punjab today demanded a rollback of tax hike on lottery draws of other States. They said the hefty increase in taxes on lottery draws of other States by the Punjab Government would sound the death knell of their business. Over 1.5 lakh families are associated with the lottery business in the State, the Punjab Lottery Stockist Association chief, Mr Sanjay Agnihotri, told reporters here. They demanded immediate withdrawal of the new rate of taxes, he said.
