A fire broke out at a prominent commercial building in central Kolkata this morning. The building houses the offices of the State Bank of India, Life Insurance Corporation of India and other financial organisations.
According to sources, at least 10 fire tenders have been pressed into action. There are no reports of any casualty as of yet.
According to fire brigade officials, the fire broke out around 10.20 am in the Jeevan Suddha building on Jawaharlal Nehru Road in central Kolkata. The fire quickly spread to three above floors.
