Results of the Gorakhpur and Phulpur by-elections will be declared today. The two constituencies that went to polls on March 11 witnessed a low voter turnout. While winning Gorakhpur constituency will be a matter of prestige for Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath as it is considered his stronghold, the election result will also be a test for the BSP-SP alliance.

The first stretch of Delhi Metro’s Pink Line will be inaugurated today by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri. The Majlis Park-South Campus section will be open for public from 6 pm. This line will connect the North and South campus of the Delhi University on the metro network for the first time thus reducing the travel time for students.
