Sidelined AIADMK leader TTV Dhinakaran is all set to float a new party and he is likely to announce the party name today in Madurai. The Delhi High Court had on March 9 asked EC to allot a common symbol, preferably ‘pressure cooker’ and a name of his choice for the party. Dhinakaran recently won the R K Nagar bypoll as an independent candidate.

Tamil Nadu State budget will be presented today. This will be O Panneerselvam’s maiden budget post the merger of the AIADMK factions and roll out of the GST. In 2017, Fisheries Minister D Jayakumar had presented his maiden budget following the fall out between E Palaniswami and O Panneerselvam.

Bandhan Bank will launch its IPO of Rs 4,473 cr today. The bank will sell up to 119.3 million shares with the price range of Rs 370-375. Post IPO, Bandhan Bank will bring down the promoter holding to 82 per cent and the proceeds will be used for expansion of its network.

Home Minister Rajnath Singh will inaugurate the Integrated Check Post at Moreh in Manipur along the India-Myanmar border to coincide with first anniversary of BJP-led Manipur government. The Check post will boost the border management and trade infrastructure.

The Central Board of Excise and Customs will set up camps across the country for 15 days starting today to ease the exporters’ GST refund issues. CBEC expects to sort the exporters refund grievances by March 31 as around 70 per cent of the refunds are still stuck even after eight months of GST rollout.
