Today is the last day for sending suggestions on making the functioning of the collegium system transparent and the appointment of judges to the higher judiciary eligibility criteria-based. All the suggestions should reach the ministry of law and Justice by 5 pm.

The Delhi government will hold its first-ever Yamuna Aarti at Kudesia Ghat today, on the lines of the famous Ganga Aarti held at Varanasi and Rishikesh. This is part of the State government’s efforts towards cleaning the river and promoting tourism. Eleven priests from Varanasi have been invited to conduct the ceremony.
Penguin Books India is to launch Sudha Murthy’s new children’s book The Magic of the Lost Temple today,on the eve of Children’s Day on Saturday. The book will be launched at Baldwin Girls’ High School in Bengaluru.
