Five things to watch out for today

The CBSE class X and XII board exams begin today. Exams for standard X will continue till March 28 and that for students of XII will end on April 22. While English will mark the start of exams for standard XII, those in X will facethe exam on dynamic retail, IT , security, auto technology and international tourism.

India will play Sri Lanka in the seventh match of the ongoing T20 event in Bangladesh. Injuries to key players such as skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Rohit Sharma are haunting Team India.

India’s maiden version of the famous ‘Singapore-based Shangrila Dialogue’ (Raisina Dialogue), to be organised in Delhi between March 1-3, will see participation from top leaders of the region and beyond debating Asia’s future. The event is organised by the Observer Research Foundation along with the Ministry of External Affairs.

Delhi Metro, in a first, will ferry cargo on its premium Airport Express Line linking Indira Gandhi International Airport to New Delhi railway station. The three-month experimental service will see a long-term arrangement if it becomes successful.

From today, an unreserved train ticket for travelling up to 199 km distance will no longer be valid after three hours of purchase as the Railways has formulated a new rule. The journey has to be started from the originating station within three hours of the issue of tickets or up to the departure of first train for the destination whichever is later.
