India’s largest auction of 2G, 3G and 4G airwaves opens today. The Centre expects to net a minimum ₹5.56 lakh crore fromthe auction. However, the lack of a compelling reason like expiry of bandwidth and the expensive starting price of 700 MHz spectrum could hurt demand. The auction could see Vodafone India and Idea Cellular bidding aggressively.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is to chair a high-level meeting today to review the mostfavoured nation (MFN) status it extended unilaterally to Pakistan two decades ago. The meeting has been called in response to the recent attacks on the Uri military camp.

Datsun is to launch a special edition of its entry level car, the Redi-GO hatchback, in India today. The redi-GO Sport, priced at ₹3.5 lakh in India, is expected to have only minor cosmetic changes. It will come with a new body paint with a few more exterior tweaks.

Today i s the deadline for all CBSE schools to publish their mission statements online. The statement is mandatory because The Centre requires all schools to frame a mission statement “containing the goals to be achieved by their institutions, while the nation approaches the 75th year after independence in 2022”.
