Inflation data : The consumer price inflation data is likely to be announced today. The CPI is expected to have picked up 2.43 per cent in February as compared to January data. Economists predict the average inflation to be around 3 per cent.

Congress CWC : The Indian National Congress is set to meet today for the Congress Working Committee meeting to give final shape to its poll strategy ahead of the Lok Sabha general elections. The meeting will be held in Gujarat. Hardik Patel, who spearheaded the Patel quota stir, is likely to attend the meeting and it is speculated that he is set to join the party and contest the LS polls. The Election Commission announced the poll dates on Sunday. The seven-phase elections will begin from April 11.

Brexit : Vote on whether to approve UK Prime Minister Theresa May’s revised Brexit deal by the Parliament will take place on Tuesday. This is the second vote on the deal after the House of Commons in January rejected the deal due to concerns over arrangements for the Irish border.

TMC candidate list : The Trinamool Congress will meet today to decide on the poll candidates for the Lok Sabha elections. The meeting will also decide on the manifesto for the upcoming polls that is set to begin from April 11. TMC currently represents 32 seats in the Lok Sabha.

Nissan board meeting : The Nissan board meeting is set to be held on Tuesday in Tokyo. A Japanese court on Monday barred the ousted CEO Carlos Ghosn from attending the board meeting. A joint news conference of heads of Renault SA, Nissan Motor Co and Mitusbishi Motors is also expected today. Ghosn was arrested on November 8, following charges of financial misconduct against him.
