Four workers have sustained injuries in a blast occurred in Bharat Dynamics Ltd (BDL), a defence public sector unit in Kanchanbagh here on Saturday morning.
Small quantity of waste explosive exploded while being disposed as a routine practice at the burning pit in BDL premises, Arup Kumar Maiti, General Manager, BDL said in a statement issued here today.
``All the affected are being treated at Apollo DRDO Hospital and the best of treatment is being given,’’ he said. The burning pit is one km away from production facilities. BDL, under the Ministry of Defence, is the main production unit for all missiles.
