Hotelogix, a cloud-based hotel property management software system maker, has raised $5 million in funding from Vertex Ventures, along with Accel Partners and Saama Capital.

Founded by Prabhash Bhatnagar and Aditya Sanghi, Hotelogix offers a cloud-based Hotel Property Management System (PMS), used by hotels in 100 countries to streamline its daily operations, in addition to increasing booking revenues.

With this infusion, Hotelogix aims to add features to its product and expand its market presence.

Aditya Sanghi, Co-founder CEO at Hotelogix, said: “In the last couple of years, we have created an impressive customer base of group hotels in India, replacing popular on-premise PMSs. With this, we have gained a strong foothold in Indian market that has set the stage for us to now invest aggressively in this segment to scale up operations.”

Some of the prominent hotel brands in India that use Hotelogix are Treebo Hotels, Mint Hotels, Leisure Hotels, and Country Inn Hotels and Resorts, amongst others.

Expansion

Prabhash Bhatnagar, co-founder at Hotelogix, added that the company plans to expand its operations in Thailand and make it the hub for South-east Asia.

Additionally, the funding will help in strengthening the product in South America, North America and the UK, targeting independent hotels.

Ben Mathias, Managing Partner at Vertex Ventures, pointed out that the number of interfaces needed by hotels to Online Travel Agents, channel managers, search engines, and review sites is continuously increasing, which necessitates the need for hotels to have a cloud-based PMS solution.
