Indraprastha Gas Ltd, the city gas distributor for Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad, has said that it has provided 1,01,285 domestic piped natural gas connections in 2014-15.
“It is an unparalleled feat in 16 years of IGL. The number of PNG connections provided by IGL in 2014-15 is the highest amongst all city gas distribution companies in a financial year,” the company said in a statement.
IGL, a joint venture between GAIL (India) Ltd, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd and the Delhi Government, currently has 5,60,752 connections. In the previous year, it had added 72,771 connections.
