The Lok Sabha was adjourned for the day minutes after the lower house reassembled at noon on Tuesday. With the Opposition MPs continuing to shout slogans and placing themselves in the well of the house, Speaker Sumitra Mahajan said she was constrained from taking a headcount of MPs for considering the no-confidence motion.
The lower house was adjourned for the day without taking up the notice of no-confidence motion against the ruling NDA dispensation.
