The Maharashtra Cabinet on Tuesday has given clearance for launching a ₹100-crore project, which will provide internet services based on point-to-point technology, which will provide 10 Mbps speed to the users.

The internet services will be used for e-governance in city areas and the funds will be made available through Public Health, School Education and Agriculture department, a statement issued the Chief Minister's Office said. The internet services will be connected to the State Data Centre or Virtual Private Cloud.
