The Company Secretary (CS) course is a visa to the corporate world and provides many career opportunities, according to V Ahalada Rao, Vice-President of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI).
He was speaking at the convocation of ICSI southern region here on Monday. Company secretaries acquire all-round skills, he said, urging the young professionals to take advantages of the many opportunities.
S Ramachandram, Vice-Chancellor, Osmania University, who was the chief guest, said the new members of ICSI should remain inquisitive and motivate themselves constantly. They should follow the path of truth and ethics in their endeavours, he added.
Certificates, awards and medals were given away to 110 members during the convocation.
